Judy Kaplan Baron earned a B.A. in Speech, a M.S. in Counseling and a Ph.D. in Education.  As a counselor, she helps people improve their lives by clarifying issues, identifying alternatives, and building skills.  She helps them make adjustments and decisions which positively impact their lives.  Considered an expert in career development, she has assisted thousands of people in entering, changing and developing their careers.  For seven years, she served as Assistant Director of the America Online Career Center.  She was recruited by and taught at the University of California, San Diego extension, in their Career Counseling Certificate Program.  For over 25 years, Judy Kaplan Baron has been listed among the valuable resources in the best selling career development books, What Color Is Your Parachute? (Bolles) and Perfect Resume Strategies (Jackson).  She is also a frequent speaker at national and international conventions for other career counseling and career development professionals.

As a trainer, Judy Kaplan Baron specializes in conducting training programs which center around interpersonal communication and lifestyle management skills.  She teaches Effective Presentations for Busy People, Performance Management, How to Succeed in Promotional Interviews, Successful Career Development, and a variety of Interpersonal Communication programs.  She has been called, "a breath of fresh air."  Judy Kaplan Baron has worked with organizations including the American Institute of Banking, Apple Computer, Baxter Healthcare, Dial, Foodmaker, Kaiser Permanente, SAIC, TRW, and U.S. West plus a whole host of Cities, Counties, and governmental organizations, (including San Diego, San Mateo, Sunnyvale, and Escondido), State governmental organizations (including the California Department of Justice and the State of California). She presented the closing address at the San Diego Women's Opportunity Week All Day Event and spoke for three years at the San Diego Regional Conference for Women. Her audiences have also included a wide variety of professional associations such as those for coroners, educational administrators, forensic consultants, landscape architects, law enforcement professionals, respiratory therapists, women in government, and others.
